Fiji Acknowledged for Support of Australia
The Australian High Commissioner to Fiji, Hon. John Feakes, has acknowledged the assistance provided by the Fijian Government to Australia and the renewed strength of its Vuvale partnership during the Australia Day reception held at the Australian High Commission this evening.
“Australia is deeply grateful to Prime Minister Bainimarama and the Government of Fiji for sending the RFMF to assist in the recovery,” Mr Feakes said.
You don’t get through times like this alone. These are the times you need family. And in its response to these unprecedented bushfires, Fiji has shown that we are indeed vuvale.

We will continue to prosper. We are tough and resilient and we are optimistic,” Mr Feakes added.
The Fijian Government has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to continue to work closely with Australia in building a brighter future for the two nations and for the Pacific region as a whole.
